Mel Watt’s recent letter

There are two takeaways from Mel Watt’s recent letter (Mel_Watt_letter_09Aug2017) to NAR, 

  1. Mel Watt might take some actions in the near future to prevent GSE to possibly draw money from treasury
  2. FHFA’s possible actions are not recapitalization and release of GSEs, which are not the responsibility of FHFA, but instead, they should be congress and Treasury’s responsibility.
